About
Let me introduce myself.
I’m Em: a strategist and operator who follows curiosity into new spaces and moves through them with ease. I’ve worked in consulting, clinical research, and live events, and the job has been the same every time. I work out how a system really runs, find where it strains, and build what holds it together.
The rooms so far:
- Undergrad: Spent my time in research labs, which introduced me to clinical research.
- Masters: Picked up an MSBA at UT Austin McCombs because I wanted to be more technical and thought I wanted to be a statistician.
- McKinsey: Built a healthcare transformation ecosystem across Africa and shaped the go-to-market for a product launch. Getting that close to the data showed me I wanted to be closer to the work itself.
- Clinical Research: Came back to publish SOPs and run sites across the US, EMEA, and APAC, because helping find cures is my contribution to the greater good.
- Time of Our Lives: Founded it after spotting a gap in live events: the artists the diaspora loves rarely get to be experienced in person.
- 2026 Hard: Ran my first marathon in April 2026, less than a year after I started running. Approximately 500 miles and counting.

Time of Our Lives is a cultural and experiential series built around live artists, performing irl. Founded in Houston in 2025 and expanded to Atlanta in 2026, it turns gathering into an experience you feel, remember, and carry with you.

- Just finished: The Invite — Directed by Olivia Wilde Wilde’s dinner-party farce, from the Spanish film The People Upstairs. A stalled married couple finally invite the noisy bohemians from the flat above, and the night gets away from all four of them.
- Midway through: Silo — Created by Graham Yost Thousands live in a buried silo under rules nobody can explain, where asking to go outside is a death sentence. Adapted from Hugh Howey’s novels.
- Recommend to everyone: Interstellar — Directed by Christopher Nolan Earth’s crops are failing, so a former pilot leaves his daughter to fly through a wormhole for somewhere else to live. Every hour out there costs him years back home.
- Next up: Primetime — Directed by Lance Oppenheim Oppenheim’s first narrative feature, with Robert Pattinson as Chris Hansen, circling the making of To Catch a Predator and what the camera did to everyone in frame.
Reading
- Now: Necessary Fiction — Eloghosa Osunde Osunde’s second novel. Two dozen-odd characters across contemporary Lagos, chasing love for themselves and each other, and risking everything else to get it.
- Just finished: The Fishermen — Chigozie Obioma Four brothers in 1990s Akure skip school to fish a forbidden river, and a madman’s prophecy turns their family inside out.
- Top three ever: A Little Life — Hanya Yanagihara Four friends make a life in New York over decades. The novel narrows onto Jude, and what he will not say about where he came from.
- Next up: Communion — bell hooks The middle book of hooks’s love trilogy, on what women are taught to want from love and what it costs them to want it differently.

Hot yoga, pilates, walking, and racket sports.
Exploring
I’ve been to 12+ countries across 3 continents. At home, I’m always trying a new recipe or hunting down a new restaurant or cuisine, and I’m currently learning to sew.
Community
I volunteer as a UT alumni supporting mock interviews, and at my local food bank.
